Mission Assurance Engineer (Level 3)

Millennium Space System is an end-to-end small satellite prime contractor, delivering full mission solutions to customers. From design, build, integration and test to mission operations and training, Millennium enables its customers’ missions. Millennium's in-house ground software enables system operations, and the autonomy the company has developed allows for near lights-out operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate mission assurance efforts across 2 satellite programs, including risk management, discrepancy resolution, design reviews, and approval of engineering changes, manufacturing updates, and technical deliverables across program phases

  • Review mission designs and evaluate technical documentation, analyses, and verification approaches to support requirements compliance, risk disposition, qualification, acceptance, and execution readiness in collaboration with interdisciplinary engineering teams

  • Provide subject matter expertise on satellite systems to identify, assess, and escalate technical risks and opportunities in support of mission success, including challenging incomplete or insufficient engineering justifications

  • Support mission operations and anomaly resolution by working with integration, test, and operations teams to maintain continuity across program activities and inform recovery planning and operational readiness

  • Develop and apply tools and technical methods for analysis, design, and simulation, while supporting future ground system development and mission assurance decision-making through testing-informed evaluation

WPI Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is an entirely student-run emergency medical response team that operates 24/7 for all scheduled class-days. Officially it is a subdivision of the WPI Campus Police Department and provides treatment to all individuals on Institute property.
